Nichon Glerum has called a lot of places home: whether it is while photographing Italian opera’s in Verona’s ancient amphitheater, organizing design exhibitions in Melbourne, publishing work for renowned fashion magazines in Amsterdam, making music on the streets of New Orleans or building art installations in an old Iron Curtain army base near Berlin.

Last summer she pirated out to Philadelphia in order to build junkboats with the Miss Rockaway Armada, amongst other miscalanaous activities that are not always easy to summarize at a high school reunion.

Growing up in the studio of her mothers’ interior architecture company, and with degrees in Fashion Design, Photography and a master from the Design Academy Eindhoven, she seamlessly blends different disciplines with her preference for 2d work.

As little as she likes to commit to a single discipline, she doesn’t like to settle down either. Using money she would otherwise spend on rent and utilities for plane and train tickets, (hitchhiking when nessesary), Nichon currently lives and works on planet earth.
